Friday Mix-Tape and Weekly Round-up: July 14, 2023

Posted by Suzanne Gutierrez on

Happy Friday, Friends! I hope you had a wonderful and stress-free week.

Bouncing back from a show always takes me a little while, and this week was no exception. I had a slow start at the beginning of this week, but my love of routine eventually took hold, and I was back in action before too long. All the paperwork has been finished, the inventory has been counted, and the updated to-do list has gone into effect. The only thing left is to receive the crate from the freight company, get the displays cleaned, and reset for the next show.

Speaking of displays, I had an idea to update the booth displays, so I'm eager for the return of the crate to start working out my new concept. I feel like the booth displays are perpetually evolving, and that's exciting. Since we see each other regularly, I keep things fresh by changing the display fixtures and adding new products and new color options.

I've also been working on updating the photos on our website. I've finally dialed in the set, and I've been delighted with how the new images turn out. Product photography is often a pain point for me, but I took my time, tried several different things, and sought advice from photography-savvy friends. I've also been limiting the number of photos I edit each day to reduce burnout with the project. That means the website is a hodge-podge right now but is shaping up daily.

I'm taking another week off from #FollowFriday but will have new creators for you to check out beginning next week.

There's no theme for this week's Friday Mix-Tape, just some of my favorite songs played in the studio. I hope you enjoy it, and as always, I'd love to add some of your favorite songs to the Friday Mix-Tape, so don't forget to drop us a line!

  1. Polly - Nirvana
  2. Girls and Boys - Blur
  3. Jane Says - Jane's Addiction
  4. Psycho Killer - Talking Heads
  5. Warsaw - Joy Division
  6. Moving in Stereo - The Cars
  7. Love is the Drug - Roxy Music
  8. Clampdown - The Clash
  9. Plainsong - the cure
  10. The Day the World Went Away - Nine Inch Nails

Thanks for stopping by to see what we're up to; Jeremy and I are grateful for your support!

XOXO,

Siouxsie
