5 Ways to Support Siouxsiequeue's and Other Small Businesses Without Spending a Penny

Posted by Suzanne Gutierrez on

Times are tough. I know that is a bit of an understatement and an oversimplification, but there you go. I bring this up because a few of you (no, really, this isn't an attempt to sound like an "influencer") have asked how to support Siouxsiequeue's, in particular, and Small Business, as a whole, without spending money. After all, not everyone has money to burn right now. These are just a few ideas gathered from articles circulating online, and I'd love to hear other thoughts from you!

So let's jump in; Five Ways to Support Small Businesses Without Spending a Penny!

If you've made a past purchase, write a review or post a photo of your purchase. Don't forget to tag us!

Jeremy and I love to see photos of "Siouxsiequeue's in the Wild". It honestly makes us so happy to see you enjoying your purchases and sharing them online with your family and friends. Speaking of which...

Tell your friends and family about us.

Maybe they want a custom piece for themselves or are shopping for you; tell your BFF about the funny joke we shared at the convention or share your new favorite blog with your brother. Either way, we'll thank you for getting the word out.

Follow Siouxsiequeue's on social media, don't forget to like, share, comment, and use our hashtags!

Okay, so most of you are already following the Siouxsiequeue's social media accounts but do you know that the more likes, shares, and comments you make, the more new people see us? I'm not going to get into the technicalities of social media algorithms, but more people viewing our posts is very helpful. We also really want to hear from you. As I mentioned above, it's also beneficial to tag us in your posts and use our hashtags. #siouxsiequeues #oneringatatime #adventuresinhandmade

Signup for our email list.

I know this is tricky. We all get a ton of marketing emails that honestly go into the trash folder without being read, but hear me out:

  1. I only send one email every other week because I don't want to burden people with unwanted messages.
  2. I try to share information that's different a little different from what you saw on our Instagram feed all week.
  3. I often share subscriber-only discounts and offers in email newsletters.
  4. Since Jeremy and I are/have been IT professionals, we take customer privacy seriously and never share or sell your private information.

Please send us a note (and photos of your pets).

Seriously, we really love to hear from you. We want to hear about your family vacation; we want to see your kids/grandkids/pets' pics. We want to know what you're working on, what you're reading, and if you think my current project would look better in green. You're not just customers; we genuinely think of you as friends, and we care about you and your input.

I hope these tips help, and we'd love to hear about the ways you're supporting Small Businesses. Take care of yourselves!

-Siouxsie
